Hong Kong Odyssey |
![]() As the excellent Lonely Planet Guide has proved, you can't always rely on tourist literature to give you an adequate picture of a city. The leaflets you are handed out at the airport in Hong Kong are designed to send you directly to the shops and shopping areas, and get you to get rid of as much of your money as possible, on goods which are, lets face it, not all that much cheaper than your home country. Hong Kong ain't cheap. One day I woke up and decided to go for a walk with my digital camera to capture the city in all of its ugliness and confusion. These pages are the result. They are serve as a sort of time capsule, documenting one day in the life of a city. If you enjoy them, please tell someone about them.
