Trolley culture ...

<BGSOUND src="../sounds/piledriver.wav" loop=true>

These shops full of strange things are serviced by an army of men with trolleys. The trolleys are sturdily constructed and propelled at frightening speed along the pavements and roads. Their pointed metal frames scythe along the pavement at ankle height, and if it weren't for the dexterity of the trolleymen, and of the pedestrians nimbly leaping out of the way, there would be far more casualties.
     On the other hand it could go a long way to explaining the disproportionate number of people in Hong Kong with false legs and limps. A tip from one who knows: don't just look in the direction of the traffic when crossing the street in this area -- there's bound to be a contraflowing trolley ready to take you out.
